Eleanor Simmonds Sets New World Record

Eleanor Simmonds set a new world record as Britain enjoyed another productive day at the European Paralympic Swimming Championships in Iceland on Wednesday 21st October.

The 14-year-old won one of six golds for Britain in the SM6 200m individual medley in a time of 3:11.82 seconds.

“I can’t believe I have just got the world record in the Individual Medley! It was a really good race to be part of and I am really happy to have won that because every time I get in to race I want to win," said Simmonds.
